Worship At Ascension

Sunday Worship: 9:00 a.m.
Ascension Bistro: immediately following church (a great place to find fellowship!)
Sunday Education: 10:20 - 11:20 a.m.  (September to May)

At Ascension, we practice a variety of different worship styles from Luther's Divine Service to Contemporary styles such as the "Chicago Folk Service." We believe in both the value of tradition as well as the value of current worship styles. Please come join us as we praise God together!

From September to May, the Ascension Bistro immediately follows worship service and refreshments are served. Tables and chairs are always set up so we have an opportunity to sit down and greet one another over a roll and juice or coffee. The Bistro is located in the small fellowship hall adjacent to the small kitchen.

Everyone from age 3 to 103 (and up!) is invited and encouraged to attend our Christian Education hour. Please visit the Sunday School page for more information.

Joyful Response

What is Joyful Response?  It is an easy way to make contributions to our ministry at Ascension.  Do you have your checks automatically deposited into your savings or checking account or pay your bills by setting up automatic withdrawals from your accounts?  That is how Joyful Response works.  It is a great way to contribute our first fruits as we are called to do, because the money is automatically withdrawn from your bank account.  First, you prayerfully determine how much you will contribute and, then, you fill out a simple short form and turn it in to the church office.  You decide the frequency of the payments, such as monthly, weekly, bi-weekly.  You have the flexibility to increase or decrease or cancel the amount at any time.  You will never have to write a check, unless you want to contribute to special offerings in addition to your normal giving.  Forms are available on the table in the church narthex.  If you would like more information, talk to Paul Traub or call Brenda at the church office.
